I realized that poetry can accomplish many things that historical documents cannot. First, poetry stores emotions that will be able to shape the reader’s awareness and attitude. If most historical documents are often identified with chronicles, characters, or events, then poetry is able to build the same emotions even if the reader has no previous experience.
